Mission and Vision
Our Purpose
Our vision at Baptcare is to create caring communities for all – currently we provide high quality services to the elderly, children, families, those with a disability and asylum seekers.
Baptcare operates over 30 offices around Victoria and Tasmania. In the 2007 Aged Care Approvals Round, Baptcare received the largest allocation of community packages to a single Victorian provider for the fifth year running, further establishing Baptcare’s position as the largest provider of community packages in Victoria.
We own and operate seven residential aged care facilities in Victoria and Tasmania. Over the last 10 years all of our Victorian residential aged care facilities have been redeveloped to create residential ‘facilities of excellence’.
Baptcare provides quality residential aged care to over 850 residents and cares for over 2,000 elderly individuals each day that wish to remain living in their own homes. Our family services division supports over 700 children, families and those with a disability in need. Baptcare employs nearly 1,000 staff to ensure the highest quality of care is provided to our clients.

Our Patron
The Honourable Dame Margaret Guilfoyle AC DBE
Dame Margaret Guilfoyle has been a dedicated patron and ambassador of Baptcare for a number of years. In 1976 she was the first Australian woman to be appointed to a Cabinet portfolio when she became Minister for Social Security in the Fraser Government.
She has generously and continuously given up her time to represent Baptcare and promote the essence of what it does. Dame Margaret has often taken the time out of her busy schedule to visit individual sites, meet the residents, host patron dinners and attend celebratory events such as the 60th Anniversary. She has passionately promoted fundraising appeals, in particular the Dementia Specific Unit Capital Appeal, helping Baptcare to obtain much needed community support.
Baptcare is both honoured and proud to have Dame Margaret as a Patron for its work.
