Northaven Community

Northaven Community is an aged care facility in the rural town of Kerang, Victoria. Surrounded by gardens, Northaven has a pleasant environment for outdoor activities or just enjoying the fresh air.

Northaven has 56 beds including Killara, a secure dementia-specific unit accommodating ten residents, long term care for high and low care needs, one respite bed, and two independent living units.

All residents have single rooms with ensuites and rooms can be furnished with personal items from home. All rooms open into the garden area. Many residents have their own area of garden to enjoy.

All meals are prepared on-site and the catering staff pride themselves on the quality, choice and presentation of meals. Families are encouraged to join their relatives at meal times, and staff make a special effort to help families celebrate special occasions. Podiatry, hairdressing and physiotherapy services are also available.

The facility has a strong community focus. Staff work together with other community organisations to ensure residents stay connected with their community. A bus is available for outings, and residents have a wide selection of leisure activities, and the opportunity to pursue their interests.
