Abercare made its eighth appearance at the annual Moonee Valley Festival, on February 25th, despite the wind and ominous clouds at the outset.
With a crowd of over 50,000, the constant demand for Abercare’s balloons, show bags and information was a reflection of the community awareness and support that Abercare has amongst the Moonee Valley population.
The festival is always a beneficial means for recruiting foster carers from the area, however more carers are always needed.
As the weather cleared and the sky turned blue, the day concluded on a good note with many questions answered, pamphlets given and information packs provided.
If you feel that you could open your home and your heart and become a foster carer for children in Melbourne’s Northern and Western suburbs, please contact Abercare on 9373 3800.
