Board Approval Received for St Hilary's Rebuild

Jeff Davey, Chief Executive, is delighted to announce the board have approved the St Hilary’s rebuilding project. The builders have been selected and preparations are being made to sign the contract in the next fortnight with building to start by the end of April.

The project will involve the demolition of the current 30 bed facility on site at 16 Elgin St Morwell to make way for the 51 bed, new high and low care facility.

The residents have been transferred to a temporary facility in McMillan St Morwell to allow for the builders to complete this project in one stage, whilst giving the residents the peace and quiet they deserve.

The rebuild of St Hilary’s is the last major project involving the complete rebuild of our aged care facilities. We will then truly have Residential Aged Care ‘Facilities of Excellence’.
