Federal Funding For Brimbank Families

Abercare Family Services’ Brimbank Home Start Program was recently successful in receiving $115,000 in renewed federal funding, Baptcare CEO Jeff Davey announced this month.
The Home Start Program offers a voluntary home visiting service that provides practical support and friendship to families with children under the age of five, living in Brimbank.
Abercare is the only provider of Home Start in Victoria and has run the program since July 2001. Today it assists 23 families in the City of Brimbank and is continuing to expand.
Funds help with recruitment and training, social activities for volunteers and families, infrastructure and administration/staffing costs, and will be invaluable to families requiring support in the area.
